About PPM Ready

Our Mission

PPM Ready exists to make Personally Procured Moves (PPMs) easier, more efficient, and more profitable for U.S. service members and their families.Every year, thousands of military families choose to manage their own moves through the PPM program. While the program offers the opportunity to earn money from a PCS move, the process can be confusing and time-consuming. From truck rentals and weight tickets to reimbursement paperwork and logistics planning, many service members find themselves navigating a complicated system with little guidance.PPM Ready was created to simplify that process.

Ferd Irizarry
Senior Advisor

Brigadier General Ferdinand “Ferd” Irizarry (U.S. Army, Ret.) serves as Senior Advisor to PPM Ready, providing strategic guidance and insight drawn from over 36 years of military leadership and civil-military operations experience. During his career, he held senior roles across the U.S. Army Reserve and Special Operations community, including Deputy Chief of Staff for U.S. Army Reserve Command and Deputy Commanding General of the U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School.Since retiring from the military, he has focused on supporting innovation and emerging technology within the defense industrial base and advising organizations on strategy and operations. At PPM Ready, Ferd brings his experience working with service members and large-scale logistics operations to help guide the company’s mission of simplifying Personally Procured Moves for military families.

Tanner PortSenior Coordinator

Tanner Port serves as Senior Coordinator at PPM Ready, supporting the company’s operational planning and logistics coordination for Personally Procured Moves (PPMs). Drawing on over a decade of experience in the U.S. Army as a Targeting Officer (131A), Tanner brings expertise in operational planning, geospatial analysis, and data-driven decision making to help streamline relocation logistics for service members and their families.In addition to his work with PPM Ready, Tanner is the founder of Fourth North, a veteran-owned company focused on logistics, geospatial analysis, and operational problem-solving for government and private-sector clients.At PPM Ready, Tanner applies his background in GIS, route optimization, and logistics planning to help improve operational efficiency, support move coordination, and contribute to the company’s mission of simplifying Personally Procured Moves for military families.

Max CulbrethFounder

Max Culbreth is an entrepreneur and founder focused on building practical service businesses and logistics solutions. Originally from North Carolina and currently studying economics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Max began building businesses while still in school, starting with a pressure washing company that grew through local demand. Through working closely with service members around Fort Bragg and authorized Uhaul Dealers, he saw how complicated Personally Procured Moves can be for military families.This led to PPM Ready, a platform designed to simplify the PPM process and help service members coordinate equipment and maximize their reimbursement. Max is passionate about building systems that solve real-world problems and creating opportunities through entrepreneurship.
